Performance Max and Demand Gen now show your ads across YouTube, Shorts, Discover and Gmail, not just in search results. In Performance Max, if you don’t add video, Google builds a basic one from your images and text, and it rarely performs like the real thing.
We make sure your campaigns have the right video in the right formats, using content you already have where we can, and plan YouTube alongside your Search and Shopping so the people who watch become audiences we can reach again when they are ready to buy.
Part of our Google Ads management for Irish businesses, run by our specialist paid search team.
The first five seconds decide whether anyone remembers your ad. We build every campaign around them.
✓ Google Ads clients running Performance Max or Demand Gen without proper video.
✓ Brands already making content for social that could be working harder as ads.
✓ Businesses whose Search campaigns have hit a ceiling because not enough people know them yet.
✓ Online stores with products that sell better when people see them in use.
✓ Service businesses with a real person who can talk to camera.
If your campaigns are running on Google’s auto-generated video, that is where we start.

Ten years growing with Ripples Bathrooms, from one showroom and one service to two showrooms and one joined-up team.
We’ll check which of your campaigns are relying on auto-generated video, what content you already have, and what is missing.
YouTube works best when a few things are ready on your side. We help with each of them.
No YouTube channel? We’ll help you set one up under your business and link it to Google Ads. It takes about 20 minutes.
Not sure which videos will work? We’ll go through what you have and tell you which clips suit which ad formats. Phone-shot clips of real people often outperform polished ads, and Google’s video tools can turn your images into short video ads.
Only one format? We’ll tell you which versions to make. Google recommends at least three images and three videos across landscape, vertical and square, always with captions because most people watch on mute.
Nowhere for viewers to land? We’ll make sure each campaign points to a page or offer that suits people who are ready to act.
Demand Gen is a Google Ads campaign type that shows video and image ads across YouTube, YouTube Shorts, Discover and Gmail. It is built to drive actions such as leads, sales or sign-ups, and it uses Google’s audience signals to find people who are likely to be interested before they search.
Usually, yes. Vertical videos can run as YouTube Shorts ads, ideally without other apps’ watermarks and with captions added. Landscape clips work for standard YouTube ads. We go through what you have and tell you what can run as it is and what needs a quick edit.
Shorts ads are vertical and appear between Shorts, which people swipe through quickly, so they need a strong hook in the first second or two. Standard YouTube ads are usually landscape and play before or during longer videos. Most campaigns work best with both, and we run them side by side to see which brings in more customers.
It depends on the message. Running YouTube for UNICEF Ireland’s winter appeals, longer landscape films with a recognisable voice brought in the most donations, while Shorts reached more people for less. We test both and move budget to whatever performs best.
Earlier than most people think. Shoppers start planning in October, when creators post their gift guides, so campaigns should be live well before Black Friday. Starting in September or early October gives Google’s AI time to learn before demand peaks.
No. You supply the video, and we turn it into ads. We check which clips suit each format, set up the versions each placement needs, and can use Google’s built-in video tools to turn images and short clips into extra ad versions.
Enough to reach your audience several times over a few weeks, because one view rarely changes anyone’s mind. We recommend a test budget based on the size of your audience and what you want to achieve, and we review it after the first six to eight weeks.
We track the conversions they drive directly, visits from people who watched but did not click, and growth in searches for your brand. That shows what YouTube adds, rather than judging it on clicks like a Search campaign.
You do. The channel sits under your business, and we work on it with manager access, so the videos, subscribers and audiences stay with you.
Yes. Our YouTube SEO service gets your videos found in YouTube and Google search without paying for every view. Ads bring in new viewers straight away, and organic keeps them finding you. Google research in the US found that brands combining paid, organic and creator content on YouTube saw a 16% higher incremental return on their ad spend.
Yes. Our paid social and SEO teams work alongside our Google Ads team, using the same numbers, so your video, social and search activity support each other.
Someone from our paid media team will reply to book a short call about your goals. If you already run Google Ads, we’ll look at your account first, so the conversation starts with what we would change. You decide whether to go ahead after that.
